Leo Michael sounds like the sort of name combination that my branch of the Ehman(n) family used. Though originally Lutherans, my line became Catholics sometime around 1800 while in Russia.

Prior to 1803, the Ehmann family was from the German duchy (later kingdom) of Württemberg (Wurtemburg in English).

Who knows? Perhaps there is a connexion between our two lines.
