Does anyone have a line of Ehlers who went to the Mitchell/Osborne Counties area of Kansas about 1880? They supposedly first settled in the Danville, Iowa area and probably left many relatives behind in that area. Some are believed to have spread out to Stewartsville, Missouri also.

We know for sure that a George and Gerhard Ehlers are shown on the 1880 census in New Dehli TWP, KS. Initial research in that area indicates they probably had other siblings and/or relatives who stayed in the Danville area.

Ehlers is my maiden name. Have LOTS of information on this line beginning with George. Would really like to expand family information and will be happy to share. Please contact me at: THANKS!
