Can anyone tell me how to obtain information on Brits in Cairo around 1899?
My grandfather was stationed with the British Army in Cairo, where, on March 14, 1899, he married Elizabeth Dean, age 20 Her father was George Dean who was a carpenter. Would he/they have been attached to the army or simply a civilian family living and working in Cairo?
I am trying to find out more information about Elizabeth and her family and any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated.
