Alice Kathleen Harding in Egypt 1915-16

My grandmother Alice Kathleen Harding (1898) sailed to Port Alexandria in Egypt in October 1915 on SS Yarra.

She returned to England in September 1916 on SS Somali.

Why did she go to Egypt? Where did she live? Did she have a child? Did she work?

If anyone has any information on either the 2 ships, Egypt in 1915-16, census records, birth/adoption records or even my grandmother! then please contact me.
