I'm fisrt generation born in Canada from Egyptian parents, I'm looking for the origins of the Hamdy family in Egypt, so I thought I'd start with my own grandparents who originated from Beni Suef, Egypt. HAMDY on my father's side and MORTADA on my mother's side...I suspect the Mortada's came from Turkey at some point.
