dea la Barre/Nemec families in Cairo 1884-1900
I am at a dead end in Europe, so thought I'd try coming through Egypt to see if anyone has further info on the Nemec and de la Barre families. They lived in Cairo from about 1884-1900 while Vilem Nemec was a safari guide.
I am very interested in learning more about the de la Barres. My oldest connection is Otto de la Barre, likely born ca. 1840-1850 in Germany/Prussia.
My branch is purported to be an offshoot (she the grandneice?) of Jean-Francoise le Febvre, chavalier de la Barre, the 19 yr-old who was beheaded and burned at the stake in the late 1700s in France. My great-grandmother's obituary references him, but I have not found the connection yet.
My GG is:
Hedvika Klara Vilemena De La Barre (daughter of Otto De La Barre and Helena Herschel) was born 07 Sep 1874 in Halberstadt, Sachsen-Anhalt, Germany, and died 17 Nov 1936 in Modrany, Prague, Czech Republic. She married Vilem Frantisek Maria Nemec on 24 Nov 1894 in Prague, Czech Republic, son of Vaclav Niemitz and Paulina Beatrix Hess.
Burial: 20 Nov 1936, Modrany, Prague, Czech Republic.
Residence: 1899, Cairo, Egypt (husband Vilem was a safari guide in Africa).
More info on her:

* Family was French aristocracy - great uncle born 1747 in Ferolles-en-Brie. Executed by beheading, then burned at stake (posthumous execution) for failure to salute a religious procession 01 Jul 1766 (age 19) in Abbeville, France. Knight's name: Jean Francois Le Fevre, chevalier de la Barre. His aunt was Abbesse de Willancourt.
* Voltaire pled on his behalf to stay the execution, but to no avail. Finally successful in 1794, when conviction was overturned.
