Gary,
Here are all my notes on David Gingery, I believe one of them might have come from you via Richard a distant cousin of yours, who was also researching the Gingerys.Richard determined that David Gingery and Christian Gingery, father of Susan (Gingery) Egolf were half brothers, not father and son.Perhaps you already know all this, but it wouldn't hurt to post it for other Gingery researchers.
Notes on David Gingery, in search of Susan Gingery who married Michael Egolf/Egolff

"The picture that you speak of is from a history book titled My Home Is Fulton County Pennsylvania by the Fulton Co. Historical Society. I believe the picture to be taken about 1893 and I'll tell you why. My wife and I took a trip to McConnellsburg which is where David Gingery was from. We met with another member of this big Gingery family, her name is Joanne (Kerlin) Souders. We met with her and her mother Olive. Olive's grandfather is David Gingery (born) 16 Aug.1819 who is in the picture along with wife Sophia (born) 18 Apr.1834.She told us that the two girls in the picture are (left) Olive's aunt Sara Gingery born 25 July 1877and her mother (right) Susan Gingery born 28 Apr.1875. she is holding son Wilmer Souders. Olive wasn't positive about the boy but she thought that it was Walter Lynch who was a servant. If the picture was taken when I said, the ages of the people for that year would be as follows, Sara 15, Walter not sure, Sophia 59, Susan 17, Wilmer baby, David 72. Joanne told us that the holder of the original picture is a neighborby the name of Hohman…….Gary [Gingery researcher]

Just now I talked with Sam Buterbaugh who loaned us the Gingery house photo for our school history. He believes the house is still standing but covered with siding.Since he got the picture from a Hohman relative, he would agree with your second identification.
