I have finally made the link to my Eggleton ancestors who emigrated from England and settled in Wayne Co. P.A, originally in Damascus township.
I have now collected a lot of information on the older generations, visited Wayne Co. and actually met some living relatives.
I would be very interested in corresponding and comparing notes with anyone who has a common interest in the family names Eggleton, Ewain, Lake, Shuman, Darling, Mawdsley (Maudsley) and Young in areas like Lookout, Honesdale, Beach Lake and the townaships Manchester, Buckingham and Damascus.
