Additional information regarding the VA and WV Egglestons- Eggleston Va is in Giles County, which is near the WV and Va line. We believe our heritage came from Giles County and traveled to the Union and Gap Mills area of WV which is in Monroe County and then later to the Greenbrier County area which is where the town of Alderson WV is. Tracing back from Homer-born in 1923 is his father, Grover Cleveland, his father, Henry A. and his father, William whom we believe was possibly in the civil war and created Eggleston VA after the war(unsure but believe he started a Hotel there). Henry was born appx. 1854. Other related surnames are: Martin, Faulkner, Bryant, and Lafon. We have a picture of Grover with 4 of his brothers all in suits around 1900. Henry was a constable for a long time and had a large farm in the Greenbrier/Monroe area of WV but also traveled back to the Gap Mills/Union area as well as the Va area.
