Does anyone know why Josephine E.C. Eggleston would have gone to Elbert, Georgia, to marry Sampson Bobo?? They were married on 11-15-1855. She and Sampson and both of their families were living and had lived for years in Franklin County, ALABAMA. I can't understand why they would have gone all that way to marry especially in that day and age. There were some Bobos in Elbert, Georgia, but you would think they would marry near the bride's family.
Anyone have any ideas???????
