Hello, Linda Reed: I am also an Eggleston descendant from the Corinth, NY group. Our research shows our descent from (1- generation in America) Bigod Eggleston as follows: (2) Samuel b. 1620, (3) Samuel b. abt 1662, (4) Samuel b. abt 1705, (5) Joseph b. 1740, (6) John b. 1770 and married Lucinda Standish, a 6th generation Myles Standish descendant. Both (5) Joseph and (6) John appear to have moved from their places of birth to Corinth. At this point the descendants live in Corinth and multiply so that today there are numerous Egglestons in Corinth and one needs a chart to figure out relationships!
No doubt your Mary Eggleston is in there somewhere. I understand that there is a genealogical library in Albany, NY which has become the central repository for NYS records. Haven't been there yet myself.
