I found this cemetery transcription in the St. Judes Cemetry in Oakville Ontario I don't know if they are any relation to my Eggintons. The book for the cemetery says:
Plot Owner Egginton
Plot Owner Jean Egginton
Douglas Clarence Egginton 1917 - Oct 22 1974 [aged 56 yrs] husband of Jean Yvonne.
So I decided to see if I could find an obituary for him and I found one in the Toronto Star or Globe & Mail (I don't remember which one, but I am pretty sure it was the Globe)
Egginton Douglas Clarence (Canada Decoration) Suddenly at his home 1060 Melvin Dr. Oakville on Tuesday October 22 1974 dearly beloved husband of Jean, loving father of Bonnie Jean (Mrs. J Alsop) Pierrefondes, Quebec, Julie (Mrs. J Dawson) Clarkson, Karen and Joanne at home dear brother of Reginald ow Wasaga Beach, Edna (Mrs. E. Whiting) and Gwen (Mrs. F. Brown) both of Toronto and loving grandfather of Jennifer Alsop. Friends may call at the funeral home of S.S Russell and Son, Dunn St. (at the lake) Oakville, where the funeral service will be held on Thrusday afternoon at 2'oclock. Cremation. In lieu of flowers memorial donation to the Ontario Heart Foundation would be appreciated.
I hope this helps someone. Maybe I will be able to relate back to my Eggintons. The only ones that I know of in my family are:
Sarah Egginton married Richard Brown, Nov. 15, 1883, her parents are Edward and Mary Egginton and the witness to that marriage was Edmund Egginton.
