Thank you for your response, I should let you know, that the spelling for Edna Eggington, was decided by my mother!. She swears, the third "g" is there, because you have to pronounce it to say the name right, but I am looking at all spelling variations, because I do not have any proof of how to correctly spell it.
I'm not sure if this will help either, but my grandmother had a handicapp, she was deaf and unable to vocalize words, she used sign language. I believe this was a condition from birth , or soon after,sickness maybe.
