MARGARET ANN KOLB EGGER GIVENS
Born February 12, 1834 in Mississippi
Died March 19, 1919 in Arkansas

Parents: Newton Kolb and Hannah Cornelia (McKinley) Kolb.

Married or bonded to: James Holland Egger Sr. and Zena Givens

Children: Cornelie S. Egger (April 29, 1853), Mary Frances Egger (April 6, 1854), Petronia Egger (1856), James Holland Egger, Jr. (January 31, 1857).

1834 - Mississippi - Margaret is born to Newton and Hannah Kolb.

1849 - Mississippi - Margaret's mother, Hannah Cornelia Kolb dies on June 15, 1849. She is buried in the Kolb Family Cemetery.

1851 - Mississippi - Margaret Ann Kolb marries James Holland Egger Sr. on November 6, 1851 in Lowndes County, Mississippi.

1853 - Mississippi - Margaret gives birth to Cornelie S. Egger.

1854 - Mississippi - Margaret gives birth to Mary Frances Egger.

1856 - Mississippi - Margaret gives birth to Petronia Egger.

1857 - Mississippi - Margaret's husband, James Holland Egger Sr. dies on December 16, 1856 at 28 years of age. She is left alone with four children.

1857 - Mississippi - Margaret gives birth to James Holland Jr., six weeks after his father's death.

1865? - Mississippi - Margaret's daughter Cornelia dies.

1871 - Mississippi - Margaret marries Zena Givens.

1872 - Mississippi - Margaret gives birth to Florence Givens, June 22, 1872.

1883 - Mississippi - Margaret's father, Newton dies on July 15, 1883. She buries him in the Kolb Family Cemetery in Caledonia, Mississippi, Lowndes County.

Died December 16, 1856 in Mounds County, Mississippi

Parents: John E. Egger and Savilla (Watts) Egger

Brothers and sisters: William H. Egger (December 22, 1817), John Egger (August 17, 1819), Brown Egger (1821), Andrew Egger (1825), Sarah Elizabeth Egger (April 4, 1826), Annie Elmina Egger (September 21, 1830), Bond Egger March 30, 1833).

Married or bonded to: Margaret Ann Kolb

Children: Cornelie S. Egger (April 29, 1853), Mary Frances. Egger (April 6, 1854), Petronia Egger (1856), James Holland Egger, Jr. (January 31, 1857).

1828 - South Carolina - James Holland Egger Sr. is born to John and Savilla Egger.

1850 - Mississippi - Census taker reports that John E. Egger is the head of the household. James Holland Egger is now 22 years old and lives on his parent's farm with his mother, Savilla and his 17 year old brother, Bond. His brother Andrew Egger lives on the next farm. On the farm next to Andrew's, is James's other brother, Brown Egger.

1851 - Mississippi - James married Margarent A. Kolb, daughter of Newton Kolb and Hannah Cornelia (McKinley) Kolb, on November 6, 1851 in Lowndes County, Mississippi.

1854 - Mississippi - James first child, Mary F. Egger is born in Lowndes County, Mississippi.

1856 - Mississippi - James second child, Petronia Egger is born.

1857 - James dies on December 16, 1856 at 28 years of age.

1857 - James's son, James Holland Jr. is born January 31, 1857 in Mounds County, Mississippi, six weeks after his father's death.

*note - gravemarker is spelled Agger.
