I am puzzled... the name Egerton crops up as a second name in the children of Arthur Hirst of Rotherham,and his wife Margaret Coates from Dublin.They married in 1850. The names are Dorothy Egerton, Tom Egerton and a few more in the next generation. Any information gratefully recieved, Evelyn Hodgson, Guildford, England.
