In lafayette Cemetery #1 in New Orleans, the large Egdorf tomb contains the following inscripted names, dates and words:



August E.J. Egdorf 7/5/1826-9/16/1871

Sophie Groetmeyer wife of August 8/1/1836-9/16/1922

Charles A. Egdorf 5/30/1894-5/8/1896

Louella P. Lanier 9/24/1891-1/4/1901

Robert D. Egdorf 5/14/1898-3/3/1902

Wilbert Y. Egdorf died 6/19/1906 aged 19 yrs.

Daniel W. Lanier died 2/25/1908 aged 59 yrs.

George F. Carstens died 8/26/1908 aged 22 yrs.

Luella Chloe Egdorf died 6/23/1909 aged 16 yrs. 2 mos.



On the side of the tomb is another plaque with the following:

George Ernest Egdorf 1/5/1927-4/1/1985



On the left side of the tomb is a damaged plaque with the name

Stanley Egdorf 12/13/1901-1/12/1970

On this same broken plaque are other illegible names but one name denotes an infant and an

Enota Ashton Egdorf



Josie Egdorf Sedgebeer is buried in the Drumm Tomb, New Orleans Masonic Cemetery #1
