Hi Kathryn
Thanks for replying.I am looking for Richard Egan Lee who was married to
Annie nee Hewitt. Annie, born abt 1819, Tom Lee , born abt1846 and Alice Lee,
born abt 1851 came to Melbourne on the Golden South on June 2nd 1964. I
cannot find when Richard arrived. I am thinking that maybe he was crew such
as Engineer.
Now Alice married James Barlow April 1867 age 16. Her parents, Richard and
Annie are named on the certificate, and Richard signed the marriage
Annie Lee and Fanily are in the 1861 census. I believe Annie was also
married before to Henry Platts. I have census but no other proof.
I have seen in the Victorian deaths that Richard Egan Lee died in 1879, born
Wiltshire but nothing else is known about him. Alice died in Queensland in
1939 and her parents are stated as above.
I will look forware to hearing from you.
