Hi Lillian,
Me again - at last I have made a connection between my James Egan and Margaret Liston and your James Egan and Julia Healey - it's only slight but it's a connection - here goes
John Liston born Limerick 1794 - at some point went to Derryfadda Townland Parish of Moyne North Riding Tipperary married Biddy(Bridget) Healy on 25/1/1829 - John's house was one of 6 houses sharing an allotment of 21 acres with James Dwyer, Denis Egan, Patrick Ryan and others - John also owned a house 6 doors away which he leased to James Egan. The others all leased from John Maher. Witnesses to John and Bridget's wedding were Michael and Anto Maher.
Thomas Healey Bridget's Dad occupied a house on 9 acres on the Maher Estate.
John and Bridget Liston had Richard 1832 - Thomas 1833, Margaret baptised 16/7/1835 in Templetoughy Parish - witnesses PATRICK RYAN and JULIA HEALEY.
John baptised 2/12/1838 witnesses JAMES AND MARY EGAN. died young.
Bridget baptised 2/2/1842 sponsored by JAMES DWYER and NANEY HEALEY.
James 12/6/1842 sponsors PATRICK HEALEY AND CATHERINE HEALEY
JOHN born 1845.
All I know is that Richard married Mary Dwyer daughter of James Dwyer and Johanna Carroll. Margaret married James Egan son of Denis Egan and Ellen King.
I have found Dennis Egan and Thomas Healey in LEGANE Parish of TEMPLEACCHALLY in 1831.
I would think (depending) (on the order of children)(RE NAMING PATTERNS) that Julia Healey may be Margaret Liston's aunt. If Bridget and Julia were sisters (daughters of THOMAS HEALEY)
Can you please email me again [email protected]
Thanks
Julie
