Some of my ancestors (Lewis, Taylor, Jesper, and others) lived in early Richmond County, Virginia. I have not noticed the name Efford before in my records and do not know if they are related. I have a copy of a sheet from a book, "Criminal Proceedings in Colonial Virginia, which mentions John Efford of North Farnham Parish being of "ill behavior." Thomas Jesper, Jr. and William Lyell are his Securitys in court.

I live in Maryland, but have never heard of Bivalve.
