I am researching John Edwards 1790-1870, son of Benjamin and Maria Edwards, he was originally from Baltimore County, Maryland. John Edwards married Sarah, and they had son Jacob Edwards b. 1818 in Baltimore County, MD. They first show up in Armstrong County, PA in 1820 census: John Edwards, Kittanning township. 1830 census, John Edwards, Kittanning township. 1840 census, John Edwards, Pine Township. Sarah Edwards the wife died in Armstrong county between 1830 and 1840. John Edwards remarried Elizabeth Rupp, widow of George Rupp, in 1853. She died May 21,1888, in Wayne township. John died 1870 in Wayne township.
