We have more information on Evan Edwards and family.
Evan was born in the 1830's in Ireland. His wife, Anne Dwyer, was also born in the 1830's in Ireland. They had two sons, William, born 1857 in Ontario, Canada and Edward, born in 1861 also in Ontario. Evan and Anne apparently adopted our grandmother, Mary Edwards who in the 1891 censes was shown to be 13 years old. We assume that Mary was one of the English orphans or "home children" that were sent to Canada.
Anyone with information on Evan or Anne I would love to hear from you so we can fill in more of the puzzle.
