Rev. Joshua Edwards b. 11 Fef 1701 in Wales. His family moved to the Welsh Tract, Newcastle, MD while he was an infant. As an adult, he moved to the Welsh Neck community in SC where he was the third pastor of the St. David's church.
Among his sons is Elijah Edwards, b. aft. 1751.
It's certainly possible that your Elijah is a descendant of this line. Chester County is west of the Welsh Tract, but that is the direction folks migrated.
Unfortunately, I have no genealogy for Elijah other than his parents and siblings.
