and d. there in 1833, I believe.

The other David EDWARDS b. abt 1810 in VA, was an early settler of Illinois, m. Betsey BEASLEY Nov 21, 1833 in Morgan, Ill, moved around A LOT, had children Sarah 1834 (m. 1st JOHNSON, then Uriah WOODING,) Allen b. 1836, Mary Jane b. 1837, Susan b. 1838, Emaline 1840, Isaac b. 1841, John b. 1842, Nancy b. 1843 (m. Wm. WOODING.) Betsey BEASLEY EDWARDS d. 1852 in Appanoose, Iowa, and David EDWARDS remarried Sarah WALDEN in 1852 in Appanoose. The 2nd David died in Haddam, Washington County KS in 1893. He was my gggrandfather.

Some sources cite Stokes EDWARDS as his father, but he isn't listed among the grandchildren of Stokes' father's will which was written 1817, so I am disinclined to believe he was this David's father. I think, perhaps, the Rev. could be the father of this David, especially if there is a link to the STOKES-EDWARDS line (since my ancestor's children's names reflect common names in the STOKES-EDWARDS line. Does anyone have any information on either of these 2 Davids who were early settlers of Illinois?
