The Draper papers are available on microfilm at many centers for genealogical or historical research. Draper was a historian from the Wisonsin Historical Society who realized in the mid 1800's that all the people who had first-hand knowledge of the Revolutionary War period and the early settlement in the west were dying off. He set off on several expeditions throughout the midwest to track the survivors down and interview them. Our George Edwards is one of the people he interviewed.
