This is the only James W. Edwards in the 1920 AL census with a wife, Frances, and a son, James.

He was in the same county in 1910 census, with the same wife.
The census indicates they had been married 7 years and it was the second marriage for him.
This is the only Alabama marriage I could find that *might* be him. Frances *might* be a middle name, or Ester could be his first wife.
