Hey Jeremy: Thanks for your message! This is quite a puzzle. Would you be able to pass along your Helen notes to me? I am trying to find access to them on line - but have not been able to as of yet.

I wonder if the Robert Edwards you mention whose parents died & was raised by someone else - if he might have taken on his substitute guardians name. I'm not very familiar with Scottish ancestry customs. My grandmother (who is the grandaughter in law to Albert Thornton Edwards) is my only living connection and she is developing Alzeheimer's. So I fear I might never know! I would be most interested in Helen's notes. Thanks for poating a reply!! All my best,Katherine
