WHICH Edwards line? I have been researching the Edwards in GA intensively for the past two years and I can tell you that there are MANY different lines that came to GA in the late 1700s and early 1800s. For example, there were seven different men named John Edwards in Wilkes Co., GA at the same time. I went through the Wilkes Co., GA tax records books (two volumes with NO index) and wrote down every Edwards male who was listed from 1785-1805 to find this information, and MANY were not related to others.
