Death Claims Mrs. Edwards
Mrs. Hannah A. Edwards, 85, died Sunday, April 11, in Raymond at the home of her grandson, Malcolm Edwards, where she had been cared for during the last two weeks of her illness.
She was born in Roane County, Virginia, and came to South Bend in March 1899.She has made her home on Willapa Harbor since that time.
She is survived by three sons, W. E. Edwards and Harry Edwards of Raymond, and O. B. Edwards of Ilwaco; ten grandchildren, and six great grand children; and two brothers, Joseph and James Hunt of West Virginia.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Baptist church in South Bend, of which she was a member.The Reverend Pettybone officiated at the service and the burial was in the I. O. O. F. cemetery under the supervision of David Anderson of the Anderson Funeral Home.
For the musical selections the Hammond quartette sang, "Nearer My God To Thee," and "Shall We Gather At The River."
Acting as pall bearers were Ray Nettleton, E. B. Hulsey, Clarence Poole, Fred Eichner, T. B. Simmpson, and John Tucker.
