There was a Montrose Basin society that had a family
tree for the Scotts going back to Sir James Scott (involved in
Battle of Tippermuir?) in 1644 see if you can get a copy
fills in all the Scotts.
I am surprised I don't have two heads with the inter
breeding with the Scots and Douglases. Propably explains
somethings though!
