Josiah Edson, second son of Joseph Edson and Experience Holbrook, born in Bridgewater in 1682, married there, 1st 7-27-1704, Sarah Packard, born there Aug 19-1692, daughter of Zacheus Packard and Sarah Howard.She died in Bridgewater 2-14-1754 age 61, and he remarried there 2nd, intentions 4-3-1755. Abigail Dean of Rehoboth.He died 1-16-1762 in Bridgewater, age 79, and she died 1-27-1788.

Sarah Packard goes Zacheus Packard b 4-20-1651 d 8-3-1723 married Sarah Howard on 2-1-1681 in Bridgewater.This is not a Mayflower line if I said that before.....
Zacheus Packard was the son of Samuel Packard and I think her mother was Elizabeth.I need to check my sources.Samuel came to New England on the ship "Diligence"He was a member of 1st Military Company of Bridgewater (Ensigh) and he was licensed to keep and Inn (Big honor in those days)

Joseph Edson, sixth child and second son of Deacon Samuel Edson and Susannah Orcutt, born in Salem, Bay Colony MA, about 1649, married about 1678, Experience Holbrook, born 5-23-1661 in Weymouth MA, daughter of John Holbrook and Elizabeth Stream.She died in 11-2-1685 Bridgewater, and he married 2nd, 11-2-1686 Mary Turner, daughter of George Turner and Mary Robbins.

Joseph Edson served as a colonel in King Phillip's War.He was one of the Proprietors of Bridgewater, and on Dec 24, 1683, was one of the ten to whom was assigned a tract on the South Side of the town.
