Hi folks, while I have been searching for documentation on my Samuel Edney I found a petition for divorce for Samuel J. Edney from his wife; a one Alicia Elkin, not sure if anyone is looking for this info or if they would like this data file.......it doesn't seem to be my Samuel Edney...unless mine had more than two wives and this woman was his first one, in which case there is still one missing between Alcia and my Amelia/ Permilia/ Millie Spence. We have fairly good reason to belive that Samuel is not the name we seek but are leaning more towards Joseph Edney who married a Millie as being the likely canidate to fit our search. Any way the petition is dated 1827 a bit early for our Supposed Samuel, as he had two children before marrying Amelia near as we can figure.
Hope this helps someone just contact me if you would like a copy of the file sent to you, took lots of digging to find it so would hate to have it go to waste.
