I am very interested in your Edmundson line as my great-grandfather states his parents were born in SC. He and sister(s) were stated as being born in Coweta County, Ga.
My ggfather was listed on the 1850 Cencus of Randolph Co., Al in the HH of Martha (Possibly Martha Rebecca) born 1800
with an Eli- age 24, David-age 19-21, Rebecca- 16, and Thomas age 12. My ggfather had a pic of a Mary Polly Belcher on his parlor wall- she was either an aunt or sister to him (although she was almost old enough to be his aunt). Thomas Jefferson Edmondson's lineage has always been very hush-hush-and no leads- but It strikes me as very odd that he also became a Methodist Minister.
There are several Edmondson/Edmundson families in the area but I can't seem to connect to them as yet even tho the Bryant Edmundson line lists Mary Belcher in their line. I can't find the link to them yet-except the name Mary Polly Belcher. Most of these Edmundson's say they came from NC but TJ and sister Rebecca Edmondson Waldrop (Mrs. Jason G. Waldrop) all state their parents were born in SC.
I surely hope you can help me straighten this all out!!Thanks
