I know that most of my dad's people came from north carolina, around brevard.

my uncle, r.b. edmiston, keeps more involved records of the family's comings and goings. my great-great grandfather was zebulon edmiston, a war of 1812 veteran who hailed from virginia, went to tennessee and finally arkansas where he was killed in 1831. his two sons, my great grandfather david, and great-great uncle, james, were tex. rangers. hope that helps.
