Sorry, I do not know- My Edmondson kin is very elusive!!! There were about 3 sets here who claim no kin but I feel there is a connection somewhere. In our area the county and state was divided as to support of Confederacy. Even in the same families!!!! I feel that some of these took opposite sides during war and that alienated them from the family never to be claimed again. My great-grand dad fought for the Confederacy but many of his inlaws were for the union or ran up north to avoid the war(preachers). After the war tho he traveled around the county preaching(He was one also). He lost a lot of respect among the community because he preached to the blacks also. Many understood and liked him but some were not so tollerant.
Maybe some of the brothers could not accept their brother's viewpoint in preaching to all and cut themselves from the family.
The only ones I am sure of is G-Gdad has a sister, Becky Waldrop(Mrs. Jason Waldrop) buried in the cemetery closeby with her daughter Martha Waldrop. He also had a sis named "Polly" cause my mom remembers seeing "AUNT POLLY BELCHER'S" picture on her grandma's parlor wall. Some say she was the wife of Edmond Belcher of Coweta Co., Ga. But others claim THAT Polly belongs to Another Edmundson family(spelled with a "u")
There are some old postings for an ELI EDMONDSON on here but not sure what happened to David or some of the others speculated about. Perhaps your David is same as My David!!! Do you know his parents name or details of him. I would love to make a connection!!!!!!!!!! I have a picture of my granddad and one of Edmond & Polly Belcher(I think it is same as my Polly), also one of Becky Waldrop. If you would like to see them to se if there is any resemblance.
Let me know and I will give you the URL where they are. I hope we can be of further help to each other.
