I have the following Ambrose Edmondson in my files: born 5 June 1757, son of Thomas Edmondson and Elizabeth (possibly Smith). Date from his family Bible. He married Elizabeth, who was born 17 Sept 1763. He died in Mississippi 1 Jan 1824 or 1825. At some point he lived in Georgia because the marriage of one of two of his children (Thomas and Mary) are recorded in Georgia ("37000 early GA marriages" by Maddox). This Ambrose had the following children in his family Bible:
Penney, b. 13 Nov 1785 m. Reubin Magee?
Thomas, b. 24 May 1788 m. Elizabeth "Betsy" Magee
Sally Edmondson, b. 5 Feb 1791 - maybe your Sarah??
Mary "Polly", b. 11 Nov 1793 in NC, married 1817 IN GEORGIA John Sallis.
Betsey, b. 22 Feb 1797
Susan b. 15 Feb 1800
Green b. 23 Dec 1802
James b. 23 June 1807
Ambrose Jr. b 23 Dec 1810
