I find it funny that you are looking for a WILLIAM RUFUS EDMONDSON a rather unusual name...I have documentation on William Rufus Edmondson in Greensboro, NC born 6-13-1879 m. Ida Jane Elliot on 02-12-1901 d. in Tampa, FL but buried in Bristol, TN 1-13-1934. Williams parents were Paul Washington Edmondson and Martha Ann Stanley. Paul was born 01-23-1851 in South Boston, VA m. 05-19-1878 and died in Greensboro, NC 11-25-1918.

I have information going back further but not sure is this is who you are looking for....
please let me know....

We trace back to Edmond Edmondson c 1740 Essex Co. VA.
