Col. William Edmondson was born in 1734 in Cecil, Maryland. He died on July 30, 1822. The records concerning his marriages are very confusing. He had two wives, Margaret (Molly) Montgomery and Elizabeth Kennedy. He had seven children with each wife. The fourteen children were seven sons and seven daughters. I am not exactly sure of the mother's of all of the children because I do not have all of their birthdays, but I can provide some. The children are: 1) Margaret 2) John b. 1757, clerk in Abingdon, Va, m. Anna Montgomery and had 3 children 3) Esther b. April 13, 1766 d. August 16, 1823 m. Robert Campbell Kennedy 4) Samuel m. a Miss Dean and had 4 children 5) Thomas 6) Mary m. Gilland, m. McEwen 7) William, Justice of the Peace, 5 children 8) Robert Campbell 9 children 9) Martha 10) William Campbell 11) Catherine 12) Sallie 13) Andrew 14) Elizabeth I am not sure that there were two Williams, but I believe this to be the case. Have much more information!
