William Edmondson, b. 11 Aug 1766 in Onslow Co., NC, d. 13 May 1853 in Maury Co., TN, at the age of 86, was the father of Joseph Burns Edmondson. (Check County Census and Deeds). In 1850 Census William was a farmer, age 84,living with son Joseph.[Then: Bryant/Sarah Farr, Thomas II/Grissell Coleman, Benjamin/Margaret Underwood, THE Thomas/Mary Unknown]. I may have one two many Edmondsons.William I am sure of.And maybe Bryant of Onslow.

Joseph's mother was Frances Burns b. abt. 1775 in Onslow Co., NC, d. bef. 1850 in Santa Fe, Maury Co., TN. Her brother Otway Jr. was a War of 1812 hero. {Then: Otway Sr./
Lisanah Spooner, Francis/ Mary Otway].
Joseph's dau. Frances Burns Edmondson m. Wm Marion Rushing.
