I need help finding my gggg-grandfather, John Edmondson's, b@1796 SC, family. He was in the Old Miller Co., Ark records, and was one of the first settlers of the Rebublic of Texas, arriving Apr of 1825. He received a league and labor of land in what is now Red River Co., Tx. He was married to Margaret_______, former wife of Alexander O. Wetmore. John & Margaret had two children, Parthenia & Eli Edmondson. Parthenia md 1st Wm Chaney, 2nd Josiah T. Scroggins, & 3rd Albert Doolin. Eli md Mary P. Joyce, daughter of Henry Joyce & Sarah Posey, in Collin Co., Tx. John died intestate in Red River Co., Tx, in 1852. His land was patented as the John Edmondson Survey. Help me find his family. I am utterly lost on this one. Thank you.
