For G. Waldrop: re your msg of 11/20/97, My great grandfather on my father's side was Thomas Jefferson Edmondson of Randolph Co.,AL. We do not know much about him except for some oral history from my father's family about Edmondson origins in Canada which sounda dubious to me. We do know from the 1900 census that a Thomas Jefferson Edmondson, age 59, born in GA., was residing in Randolph Co. AL. Also listed there were what we know to be his second wife, and children by that union (Whitt, Dewey, etc.). His first wife was from AL and was from the Mitchell family. They had 3(+) children all born in Randolph Co: Andrew Jackson (my father's father, b. 1866, d. 1935 in Randolph Co.,Al), Ulysses Grant Edmondson, David Edmondson, and possibly a daughter name unknown.
