Kirby, I think I have your man. Daniel Edmondson is listed in the 1850 Census of Coweta County, Georgia. Marriage records of Coweta, show the marriage of Daniel Edmondson to Harriet Brashier, Sept. 16, 1841 (Marriages B-211). The Census of 1850 shows Daniel on p. 293, age 30, born in NC, with a 26 year old wife, Harriet, born in Georgia, and three children. William, 6. Henry, 2. Mary F., 5 months. He was a laborer. He might be a brother of Andrew Edmondson who married Mary Saucer in Meriwether County, adjoining Coweta, and who is in the 1840 census of Coweta and in the 1850 Census. He and Daniel lived in the 19th district. He was 36,a blacksmith, born in NC. No children at that time. Both appear to have moved on by 1860, possibly to Alabama.
Daniel Edmundson made application for a Georgia pension in 1896 for services in the Indian Wars. He served in Capt. Storey's Company, but it is not clear where he served except he was in the Georgia Volunteers. He made application in Alabama and was married at the time to Sarah A.
Daniel Edmondson is shown in the 1832 Gold Lottery in Habersham County, GA., a fortunate drawer of property in later Forsyth County. This is probably a different Daniel, as Daniel of Coweta would not have been old enough to take part in the Lottery in 1832. The older Daniel is a possibility for his father.
I would like to have anything else you have on him and would appreciate your posting it.
