Thank you very much I have been away from Genealogy due to family issues. When I started again I was determined to find out once and for all what Thomas J's mothers last name was. I didn't have the Dale Co. information. That clinces it for me. Now I can focus on which group of Edmondson's Thomas comes from. I think the major branches are from Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and maybe NC and or SC.
It looks like the Edmondson's were Scotish, Irish or English. Two of the lines go back Thomas Edmondson b.abt 1540 in England. One goes to the Edmondstone line in Scotland. I am sure you know all of that but finding it was fun for me.
