I am searching for any info on Robert Edmonston of Montgomery County, Tennessee. (He owned land on Parsons Creek). In the will of Robert Edmonston (1799), his wife is listed as Catherine. His children were: John, James, Robert, Rosanna, Jeanne, Susannah, Ann, and Catherine. Records indicate that Robert's family probably came from Pennsylvania.(The will refers to land his mother left him in Penn). There is also reference to "my beloved Archibald" in the will. Could this be his father?
I am descended from Robert's son, John. John had 2 children out of wedlock with Mary Wages (Wagis). Family records indicate that her last name was Taylor though. The children were: William (b. Dec. 15, 1818) and Catherine.
I would appreciate any feedback you can give me on descendancy and/or ancestry of Robert Edmonston. I have a wealth of info on the descendants of William Edmonston.
