I am compiling information of this Thomas and his wife Elizabeth and everything i can collect of Edmondsons in this section of N.C. in the 1700's and early 1800's. Do you have a copy of Thomas's will? A number of his people came on to Georgia, including his sons Ambrose and William, and possibly others. Ambrose settled in Warren County near my ancestor, Isaac, who descended from Joseph Edmondson on Craven and Thomas of Essex, the immigrant. I believe your Thomas and my people are related. I suspect your Thomas to come from the Edmondsons in Franklin County, VA who moved on to Wilkes/Oglethorpe County, Georgia. Humphrey was one of the heads of family in that crowd, who was probably a first cousin of the lame Humphrey named in Thomas's will. I would like to know what you have on the family and would be glad to attach my computer file (which is in the early stage of being transferred from notebooks) to an e-mail if you will provide your address. My own is Swedmondson@mindspring.com. Thanks.
