Thank you so much for your kind offer. However, I believe I may be correct in thinking that your immigrant ancestor would have been William Edmondson. Mine, I have been told, was Thomas of Essex, who came to America later.

I have not gotten farther back than Thomas b. 1804 SC, son of James of Orangeburg Co., SC. I am having trouble find a death date and place or a will for my gg-gf Thos., to tie him to my g-gf, Thomas b. 1840.

I have sent several letters to SC and GA, but so far I have received nothing in reply.

Perhaps today....
