In my records, I have a Samuel Edmunds, born 10-22-1735 in Amherst County, VA. First wife of Mary Astor and second wife Alice Wright. He was the son on John Edmunds and Mary Watkins of Amherst County. I don't know if he is who you are looking for since I have no further information, but his brother James Edmunds married Sarah Lavender who had cousins in the PeeDee area of South Carolina. James and Sarah's son Alexander did move to Edgefield, SC.
