Well it is good to hear from you. It sounds like you have a lot of information. One day I will be there too.
Well it sounds like you and I are more closely related than I had suspected.
If you also descend from the Reuben Buckner and Mary Jane Poss union. Now my grandfather was Joseph Benjamin... apparently the oldest of their children becuase they were married in like 1880, I believe, and he was born April 20, 1882. Now I know from my dad that there was an Uncle Jim Edmonds that was located around the Charleston, SC area. And from research that there was another brother, Reuben Buckner III that was born 1893.
Now my grandfather, JB, married Katie Mae Goldman, don't know the date, and they had 12 children, my father, Ralph (no middle name, I guess they ran out (haha))was the youngest of the 12 and Katie Mae died 5 months to the day after he was born in 1931. There are still 5 of the 12 still living. 4 men and 1 woman. Now, I don't know exactly when, around 190?, My grandparents, moved from Lincolnton GA to Greenwood SC to work in the cotton mills... and for the rest of the family to do so as well. But they remained close to Lincolnton, because my dad and my cousins half of who are close to his age, remember making many trips to Lincolnton as children. So actually most of my dads immediate family lives in Greenwood, Columbia, Lexington and Belvedere, SC (near Augusta GA). We live in Sanford, NC... Just transplants.
So who is the father of Reuben Buckner (Sr.) who married Miriam Kennedy? I haven't cracked that one yet. My cousin may know, but I have been so busy I haven't had the opportunity to get up with him in the past week.
