Dale,
I am descended from the Edmunds of Lincoln County and have checked my records and have a possilble lead for you. My 4th great grandfather, Alexander Edmunds, had a brother named John who was born on January 10, 1782. I don't have any marriage or children information on him, though. In case this is your line, they came from Amherst/Albemarle County, VA, through Barren County, KY, and into Edgefield/McCormick Counties, SC before coming over into Lincoln County. I hope this helps you some.
