I hope you are still there and can read this post.
My gr-gr-grandmother was Rachel Emeline Edmonds who married Robert Wilson Parker in Bibb Co, AL. They later moved to Jackson, MS. Rachel's birthdate is 21 Nov, 1850 in Perry Co, AL and she is one of 5 children that I have been able to locate in the family of John Edmonds b 1813 - 1825 in GA and Elizabeth Wooley, b, circa 1824 in Perry Co, AL.
They had the following children:
Frances Edmonds (F), circa 1840
Jeremiah Edmonds (M), circa 1843
John Edmonds (M), circa 1847
Rachel Emiline Edmonds, (F) b 21 Nov 1850
Waymon Edmonds (M), circa 1856

I don't know if they ever went to MS, but the fact that Emeline was there could be a clue to the family. I have not been able to go any farther back on the Edmonds family than this. There seems to be many John Edmonds in the GA area and some confusion about who was who.
