Hello John,
I just found you message to Jackie and am very interested in your family tree. My ancestor was James Edmiston and his son, Matthew who came to US about 1720. Their name was spelled Edmonstone originally, then Edmondson and finally Edmiston. The ancestors came from Doune, Scotland and are related to James Edmonstone, Color Bearer at Sheriffmuir in 1715. Do you have any connections? I look forward to hearing from you.
